At MotorAxis Supplies, customer satisfaction is important to us. We want you to shop confidently for car parts, alloy wheels, tyres and automotive accessories. If something isn't right with your order, we're here to help.
This policy explains how to request a return, cancel an order, obtain a refund or report a faulty product.
Understand your cancellation rights, product return options and refund procedures before making a purchase.
Our Returns Policy
MotorAxis Supplies accepts returns in accordance with applicable UK consumer law. Whether you have changed your mind, received the wrong item or discovered a fault, we aim to resolve your request fairly and efficiently.
Your rights depend on the reason for returning the goods, their condition and the circumstances of your purchase.
Your 14-Day Right to Cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers purchasing goods online generally have the right to cancel their order within 14 days without giving a reason, subject to certain exceptions.
- The cancellation period generally begins the day after you, or a person nominated by you, receives the goods.
- For an order delivered in multiple instalments, the period generally begins the day after the final item is received.
- You must notify us of your decision to cancel before the cancellation period expires.
- After notifying us, you generally have another 14 days to send the goods back.
You can cancel by emailing support@motoraxissupplies.co.uk with a clear statement that you wish to cancel your purchase. You do not have to use a particular cancellation form.

Condition of Returned Products
For change-of-mind returns, we recommend keeping products in their original packaging and handling them only as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
- Include all accessories, manuals and components originally supplied.
- Package products securely to prevent damage during return transport.
- Avoid fitting or using products beyond what is necessary to inspect them.
- Keep proof of posting or collection until your return is resolved.
For a statutory change-of-mind cancellation, we may make a lawful deduction for diminished value caused by handling beyond what would be permitted when examining goods in a shop. Opening packaging alone does not automatically remove your cancellation rights.
Returns for Car Parts, Wheels & Tyres
Some automotive products require additional care during return handling because of their size, weight or installation requirements.
| Product Type | Return Information |
|---|---|
| Car Parts | Eligible parts may be returned under statutory cancellation rights. Fitted or used parts may be subject to a lawful diminished-value deduction where applicable. |
| Alloy Wheels | Please protect the wheel faces, rims and packaging. Damage caused by excessive handling may affect the refund amount. |
| Tyres | Unused tyres may generally be returned within the statutory cancellation period. Mounting or road use may result in a lawful diminished-value deduction. |
| Wheel & Tyre Packages | Please contact us for return shipping instructions. Collection or specialist transport may be required. |
| Personalised Products | Goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised may be exempt from change-of-mind cancellation rights. |
Product-specific cancellation exceptions apply only where permitted by law. Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods remain subject to your statutory consumer rights.
Incorrectly Ordered or Incompatible Parts
We recommend checking product compatibility carefully before ordering, including your vehicle's make, model, year, engine type and relevant part numbers.
If you accidentally order an incompatible part, you can normally exercise your statutory cancellation rights within the applicable period.
If we supplied a product that does not match its description or the compatibility information we provided, please contact us. We will assess the issue under your statutory rights, including any applicable remedy for goods that are not as described.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If your order arrives faulty, damaged, incomplete or different from what you purchased, please notify us as soon as reasonably possible.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their purpose where applicable, and as described.
- Within 30 days: You generally have a short-term right to reject goods that do not conform to the contract and receive a refund.
- After 30 days: You may be entitled to a repair or replacement, followed by a price reduction or refund where the statutory conditions are met.
- Within the first six months: Certain faults are generally presumed to have existed at delivery unless the retailer proves otherwise or the presumption is incompatible with the goods or fault.
If goods are faulty or not as described, we will cover reasonable necessary return costs where required by law. We may arrange a prepaid return or collection.
We may request photographs or additional information to help assess the issue, but this does not remove your statutory rights.
Return Shipping Costs
Responsibility for return shipping depends on the reason for the return.
| Reason for Return | Return Shipping |
|---|---|
| Changed Your Mind | The customer pays the direct return cost, where this was properly disclosed before purchase. |
| Ordered Incorrect Part | The customer normally pays return shipping for a change-of-mind return. |
| Faulty or Misdescribed Item | MotorAxis Supplies covers reasonable necessary return costs where required by law. |
| Wrong Item Supplied | MotorAxis Supplies arranges or covers appropriate return shipping. |
Heavy or bulky goods, including wheels, tyres and large components, may require specialist transport. Where the law requires advance disclosure of return costs for goods that cannot normally be returned by post, we will provide that information before purchase.
Refund Processing & Timescales
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We do not charge an administration fee for issuing a statutory refund.
For a valid change-of-mind cancellation, we will refund the payments required by law, including the original standard delivery charge where applicable.
If you selected a more expensive delivery service than our least expensive standard option, the additional delivery charge does not have to be refunded.
We will make the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving the returned goods or receiving evidence that you have sent them back, whichever is earlier, where the relevant rules apply. If no goods were supplied, the refund deadline is generally 14 days after we are informed of cancellation.
For refunds relating to faulty goods, the applicable Consumer Rights Act requirements will be followed. Your payment provider may take additional time to display the refund in your account.
Order Cancellation Before Dispatch
If you wish to cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact us promptly at support@motoraxissupplies.co.uk.
We will attempt to stop fulfilment where possible. If the goods have already been dispatched, your applicable statutory cancellation rights will still be honoured.
Exchanges & Replacements
If you need a different size, specification or compatible part, please contact us. We can help you understand the available return and replacement options.
Voluntary exchanges depend on stock availability and any applicable price difference. Where a replacement is required as a statutory remedy for faulty goods, your rights under UK consumer law apply.
Warranty Claims
Some products may include a manufacturer's warranty or an additional commercial guarantee. The applicable terms and duration will be provided with the relevant product information.
A manufacturer's warranty is separate from your statutory consumer rights. The absence or expiry of a warranty does not automatically mean you have no legal remedy for faulty goods.
If you believe a product has developed a fault, contact our support team with your order details and a description of the problem.
Items Lost During Return Shipping
When returning goods using a carrier of your choice, we recommend using a tracked service and retaining proof of postage.
If we arrange collection or provide a return service, please follow the instructions supplied by our team. Responsibility for returned goods will be determined in accordance with applicable law and the agreed return arrangements.
Your Statutory Rights
This policy is intended to comply with applicable UK consumer protection law, including:
- Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
- Other applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
Nothing in these terms limits, excludes or replaces your statutory consumer rights.
